{"id":2400,"date":"2010-01-24T05:45:22","date_gmt":"2010-01-24T04:45:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/?p=2400"},"modified":"2010-07-12T21:21:05","modified_gmt":"2010-07-12T20:21:05","slug":"brand-new-retro-featured-articles-in-digital-arts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/2010\/01\/brand-new-retro-featured-articles-in-digital-arts\/","title":{"rendered":"Brand New Retro &#8211; Featured articles in Digital Arts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2405\" title=\"brand-new-retro-swiss-design\" src=\"https:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/brand-new-retro-swiss-design.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"157\" \/><br \/>\nDigital Arts this week ran a great article called &#8220;Brand New Retro&#8221; which featured my International Year of Astronomy posters along with some interview text about my influence and approach &#8211; which I thought was pretty sweet.<\/p>\n<p>The article covers how creatives are going back to basics and rediscovering the cult of Swiss design and covers this perspective from a number of designers and their projects.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/dsc_0754.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2403\" title=\"dsc_0754\" src=\"https:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/dsc_0754-634x421.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"421\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the inside cover they used one of my poster prints, which looks very nice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/dsc_0757.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2404\" title=\"dsc_0757\" src=\"https:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/dsc_0757-634x421.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"421\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/dsc_0759.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2402\" title=\"dsc_0759\" src=\"https:\/\/simoncpage.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/dsc_0759-634x421.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"421\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>&#8220;The posters&#8217; impact comes from their careful arrangement of lines and shapes. They&#8217;re slightly aged, leading you to the question whether they come from 1969 rather than 2009.
